Welcome on the official website of the International Business Studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdansk!
The University of Gdańsk, Faculty of Economics has developed Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programmes in International Business. These unique degree programmes in International Business commenced on the 1st of October 2008.

Programmes address different issues of globalization, regionalization and intercultural approaches to international business. It provides students for using their competencies in the qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Its major objective is to help students supplement or extend their professional and academic knowledge in the field of international business.

IB programme goals for students:

• thinking critically and creatively

• communicating effectively

• understanding local and global connections

• awareness of responsibilities of international community membership

• teaching the necessary skills in the context of globalization and integration

• developing the problem solving competences in an interdisciplinary context

• better understanding of different cultures and developing successful intercultural communication skills.

The programme prepares the students for challenging positions in various areas of international management or research.

Wide range of teaching methods

• focus on providing students with knowledge and with competences that enable students to create their own expertise and skills

• traditional lectures both by outstanding University professors and company practitioners

• seminars

• interactive classroom learning (case study analysis, buzz groups)

• individual supervision for students’ thesis

• students will be encouraged to prepare their Bachelor and Master Thesis in accordance with the field of their interest
